Moor Spa’s expertise lies in harnessing the wonderful therapeutic properties of the moor in an extensive line of professional spa-quality products.
Some of the products include nothing but the pure moor which is simply harvested directly from the Vorarlberg Tiefenmoor, then carefully filtered and refined. No other ingredients are added and the moor is self-preserving.
The blended products are manufactured at Moor Spa’s 7000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Vancouver, Canada. Every Moor Spa product includes the rich, black moor water as the signature ingredient. This water is extracted from the moor by a process of filtration which takes several weeks to complete. It contains most of the moor’s water-soluble nutrients and is therefore extremely nourishing to the skin and body.
A range of high grade plant-based ingredients including pure essential oil fragrances, unadulterated herbal extracts created using our own extraction equipment, and a wide range of plant-derived cosmeceuticals are added to create a range of truly exquisite products that work synergistically with the pure moor products.
Moor Spa Products Include 100% Natural-Source Ingredients, They contain no artificial preservatives, colors or fragrances; nor petroleum-derivatives such as propylene glycol, PEG or mineral oil. Moor Spa conducts no animal testing.
Natural Preservative System
The natural preservative system that we use was originally developed in the UK. It includes 2 enzymes derived from milk which absorb any oxygen that is in the product. The elimination of oxygen prevents any aerobic bacteria from growing in the product.
At the same time the enzymes convert the absorbed oxygen into hydrogen peroxide through an interaction with the water in the product. The hydrogen peroxide dissipates very quickly from the product but is present long enough to eliminate any anaerobic bacteria that may still be present.
